The making of a long weekend

So, my next trip is to Phillip Island, as I have mentioned in the post Dawn at the Peninsula. The trip started out by suggestion of a friend to photograph the Pinnacles.

We had planned to drive down on Friday (21/05) morning scout the area, photograph (sunset, sunrise). Because it was going to be one night only and we didn’t want to spend too much money, we were going to use his camper-trailer. There were a lot of issues with that plan, but it would definitely do the job we needed.

When I caught up with my friend this weekend, the subject of the trip came up again. We were both very excited about it and a new opportunity arose: my husband’s mother has a friend who has a weekend house 20 minutes away from Phillip Island. So my husband reached out and we got the house for the weekend!!!

The new plan is: drive down on Thursday (20/05) after work and chill. The next day we would probably do a sunrise photo of the Pinnacles, and from there everything would, more or less, be the same as before. The only other exception is that, since I wouldn’t be in my friend’s camper-trailer, my husband and I might stay in Phillip Island until Sunday (23/05) and enjoy a long weekend away.

More to come.
