I’m an IT geek and I love spending my time photographing. Ever since I was a little child, I have been heavily involved in photography. Not necessarily behind the camera, but more generally, in front of it.
When I was a child, my mother was a ‘stay home mom’ and to pass her time she started investing in photography. My siblings and I would be the main subject of most of her photos, as a way of documenting our childhood. From time to time, we would open up the shoe boxes full of photos and look at them, or go through the many slides we had of our vacation trips. It is a very nostalgic exercise to go through old photographs.
After I grew up and moved out, I did not have my life and events photographed as often. In 2015, I bought a small DSRL Nikon D3300 to start documenting what I would find interesting in the many trips I went on. I eventually ended up taking photography to more than trips; I began taking my camera everywhere I went.
Today, with a more advanced camera (Nikon D610), I try to make the most of it. Always experimenting (not always successful experiments) and always learning. I still have a lot to learn and try, and will hopefully document every step of the way – and the good results will end up in this blog.
This blog is about my photography journey. The why, when, where and how I take my photographs and what the results are. It is about me trying to discover new ways of looking at everything and bringing the reader along with me.
